This Privacy Policy explains how Apptimely (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the Timely mobile application (the “App”). We designed Timely to keep your data on your device and in your own iCloud. We do not operate our own servers that store your personal information, and we do not sell your data.

Information stored by the App

Everything you create in Timely (tasks, projects, goals, time blocks, contacts you add, check-in schedules, notes, and your settings) is stored locally on your device using Apple’s Core Data framework. We do not receive or have access to this content.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud and have it enabled for Timely, your App data is synced across your devices through Apple’s private CloudKit (your personal iCloud account). This data is stored in your iCloud, not on our servers, and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We cannot read your iCloud data.

Contacts

If you choose to import people into the People section, the App requests access to your device Contacts. Contact information is read on your device to create entries you select and is stored like any other App data (locally and in your iCloud). We do not upload your contacts to us or to any third party. You can revoke Contacts access at any time in iOS Settings.

Notifications

With your permission, the App schedules local notifications (task reminders, check-in reminders, and a daily summary) on your device. These are generated on-device and are not sent through our servers.

Purchases

Timely offers an optional one-time “Pro” unlock and an optional auto-renewing subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment card or billing details. Purchase status is managed by Apple’s StoreKit and stored on your device.

Optional AI reminder messages

Timely includes an optional feature that can generate personalized reminder messages. This feature is off unless you add your own Anthropic API key. If you enable it, the information needed to draft a message (such as a contact’s name and check-in context) is sent to Anthropic to generate the text, subject to Anthropic’s Privacy Policy. Your API key is stored only on your device and is never sent to us.

Analytics and tracking

The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across apps or websites.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. The only data transfers are those described above: to Apple (iCloud sync and purchases) and, only if you enable the AI feature, to Anthropic.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data is stored on your device and in your iCloud, you control it. You can delete individual items in the App, delete the App to remove its on-device data, and manage or delete Timely’s iCloud data from iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.

Children

Timely is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or California’s CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Because your data stays on your device and in your iCloud, you can exercise these rights directly within the App and iOS. For questions, contact us below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
